OUR PROCESS

ONE.

BOOK A CONSULTATION

The initial consultation serves as an essential step in our collaboration with potential customers who are considering building a new home with Stanton Builders. During this consultation, our primary goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of your vision, requirements, and objectives for your new home. We will provide you with valuable insights, discuss design options, address budget considerations, and outline the overall process and timelines to ensure a tailored building project. If you have preferences or people you know in the industry, we can consider all these options moving forward.

FOUR.

BUILD TO CONSENTED PLANS

Construction: We then construct your new house in accordance with the approved plans and building consent conditions. We will notify the council at various stages of the construction process to request inspections, such as foundation, framing, plumbing, pre lining and final inspections. Cooperate with the council’s inspectors, address any issues identified, and provide necessary documentation. If everything is in order and there is not too many changes then the project should tick along nicely with minimal hold ups, get completed on time.

We also work with you the client during this phase, give you updates & and have site meetings as required to make decisions on any detail that may have options. It is imperative to have your input for a successful outcome.
Code of Compliance Certificate (CCC): Upon completion of the construction and satisfactory inspections, we can apply for a Code of Compliance Certificate. The council will conduct a final inspection to ensure that the new house meets all relevant codes and regulations and is suitable for occupation.

TWO.

GET A QUOTE

You may have plans already or we can arrange this process with Architects we have good working relationships with. Once the ideas, wants, needs & engineering have been worked through, it is time to work on quantifying the cost of creating your home with your budget in mind. There are several methods of this. Estimating, using our Quantity Surveyor or a selected independent QS or from a comprehensive fixed price quote. We can certainly work on an option to suit along with a Specification list so you know what is included and what is not. This gives everyone certainty moving forward.

FIVE.

HAND OVER

The “hand over” process signifies the final stages of taking possession of your new home built by Stanton Builders. It involves the completion of construction, inspections, and the official transfer of the property to the homeowner. Stanton Builders will ensure that all construction activities, including the finishing touches and final installations, are completed according to the agreed-upon plans and specifications. The construction team will conduct a thorough internal inspection to ensure that all elements of the home meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Before the official handover, you will have an opportunity to inspect your new home. A representative from Stanton Builders will walk you through the property, highlighting the completed work and addressing any questions or concerns you may have. It is important to carefully inspect each room, fixtures, fittings, and finishes to ensure they meet your expectations and are in good condition. If any issues or defects are identified during the pre-handover inspection, Stanton Builders will take responsibility for rectifying them. The company will work promptly to address any concerns, ensuring that the home meets the agreed-upon standards. During the handover process, you will be provided with important documentation related to the home. This may include warranties, guarantees, and certificates, operating manuals for appliances, and any relevant permits or compliance certificates.
